About Me:

I am a recent convert of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I've been a member for let's see... "About two whole years now!" I love this Church and everything it stands for! I have gained so much from this Church I can't wait to share the same happiness I have with the people of Angeles, Philippines! I am the only member in my family and at times it is hard to know that my family doesn't believe in the same things that I believe in, but I know that as I serve the Lord diligently and give Him everything I have, my family and I will both be blessed! I believe that everyone, including those who make mistakes, deserve the opportunity to share the same happiness I have. I believe in second chances because if my goal in this life is to become more like Christ, who judged none and forgave all, then I should strive my hardest to love everyone regardless of their flaws. I know that this Church is true and that The Book of Mormon is true scripture restored through the translation of Joseph Smith. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us and blesses us daily and that if we live His commandments and strive every day to be more Christlike that we will live with Him again. I know that Christ lives and that He will come again someday. I love this Church and I leave this with you in the Holy name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

First "Real" Email!

Ok so it has been a crazy adventure so far! So thursday night I landed in Nagoya Japan! Beautiful sunset! Also the most COMPLICATED toilets in the WORLD!!!! like at least 12 buttuns and I am pretty sure that one was a massager and one was a heater. Anyway so I saw this monkey when we landed and got to the hotel and took a bunch of pictures haha pero I dont think the weather is anywhere near as bad as what people say it is. I mean it is pretty humid but you get used to it really quickly same thing with the schedule. pero the one thing I havent gotten used to are all the samoans. I mean this in a good way though, I mean what I havent gotten used to is playing volleyball with them. IT. IS. INTENSE!!! The language.... whoever said that tagalog was alot like spanish should be dragged out of his house and told HINDI PO!! (no) Its coming along though I mean I can bear a very simple testimony and say a simple prayer already so I guess thats good.
I have had dalawa mga kasama so far, Elder Davies from New Zealand and my new kasama is Elder Abekoon from Sri Lanka both very cool guys! I was just transferred last night along with Elder Davies and Elder MoiMoi....Ahhhh Elder MoiMoi he is from Fiji and is absolutely Hilarious! Also he is the spitting image of Kobe Bryant! I love the food and have even tried fish not too bad but american stuff is expensive here! I love these people so much they are absolutely incredible and they make me smile all the time. Elder Davies and I taught our first "investigator" and we did well considering the language barrier but they speak alot of TagLish here so when yoou dont know the tagalog word for it you just say the english word. It is just really hard to get your point across when you cant say it in english and that is the hardest part really. Just not being able to REALLY speak with the Spirit because we arent fluent in the language and we dont speak fluidly pero every once in a while you will just catch that one sentance where the spirit just say hey I will take over and it is almost overpowering.
Our district is NEPHI hwo sweet is that?! There is one american sister, Sister Larson, two austrailian sisters, Sister Hart and Sister Laulu, they are awesome! Especially Sister Hart she just makes a bunch of weird faces and I am lucky to catch them on camera haha there was a samoan sister but she was transferred, then Elder MoiMoi and Elder Davies, then two Samoan elders, Elder Mailata and Elder Mariner. Elders Moimoi and Davies and I lived with them until we got transferred last night. and when they say be prepared to move in the middle of the night....THEY MEAN IT!! We moved at like 10 last night and had to pack and unpack our stuff, granted we only went a floor down but hey transfer is a transfer right?!
It is so beautiful here I hope I am able to send you some pictures soon. It may be dirty but in the middle of all this chaos..you just see the beauty of Gods great creations. Anyhow I love you and everyone else! Tell everyone I say hello and that I love them too!

So it sounds to me like he is doing very well and absolutely loving it! And I couldn't be more proud of him! Stay tuned until next week! :)
